This pack has four books to help you boost your child’s learning about important topics appropriate for their grade level, focusing on: „ Fiction „ Science „ Social studies „ Social emotional learning (Social emotional learning helps your child understand and then apply the skills they need to understand and manage their emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.) Each book in the pack has an activity sheet with the title and subject of the book. There are activities to do each day, about 20 minutes per day. Use one book a week and work on the activities with your child. Be sure to take your child’s lead. If your child is struggling, for example, break the book into smaller chunks and do the activities together. If your child has already mastered the skills, you might have your child research to find more about the topic or create a project about it. How can you help your child succeed? Consider these tips: „ Set and keep a schedule. The closer the schedule is to a regular school day, the easier it will be for your child to focus on schoolwork. Be sure to build in breaks for exercise and other activities. „ Think about when your child is most alert as you plan the day. If your child is most alert in the morning, that’s a great time to focus on subjects that are more difficult for him or her. If the material is easy for your child, focus on it at a time when your child is not as easily focused. „ Create a space for your child to learn. Your child might have a desk or sit at a kitchen table. Some children can focus better standing than sitting. No matter where your child’s learning space is, be sure that they aren’t isolated or too distracted. You might use background noise like soft music to help your child focus. Do what works best for him or her. „ Be sure that your child has all the supplies they need before they start working—pencil and paper, books, logins for their accounts, and so on. „ Make a daily plan. At the end of each day, identify with your child what to do the next day and make a list for the next day. Checklists are great for some children who need extra help focusing. „ Help your child understand the material—but don’t do the work for them! „ Provide positive feedback to your child and let them know that they are doing a great job of learning in new ways. Reach out to your child’s teacher if you need support or ideas for working with your child. Enjoy learning with your child!CURRICULUM-TO-GO Learning Packs Overview | capstoneclassroom.com Student Books Kindergarten ISBN - 9781663904393 Price $28.00 Grade 1 ISBN - 9781663904409 Price $28.00 Grade 2 ISBN - 9781663904416 Price $28.00 SOCIAL STUDIESSCIENCEFICTIONSOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING SOCIAL STUDIESSCIENCEFICTIONSOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING SOCIAL STUDIESSCIENCEFICTIONSOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNINGCURRICULUM-TO-GO Learning Packs Overview | capstoneclassroom.com Student Books Grade 3 ISBN - 9781663904423 Price $28.00 Grade 4 ISBN - 9781663904430 Price $35.00 Grade 5 ISBN - 9781663904447 Price $35.00 SOCIAL STUDIESSCIENCEFICTIONSOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING SOCIAL STUDIESSCIENCEFICTIONSOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING SOCIAL STUDIESSCIENCEFICTIONSOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNINGCURRICULUM-TO-GO Learning Packs Overview | capstoneclassroom.com Student Books Grade 6 ISBN - 9781663904454 Price $35.00 Grade 7 ISBN - 9781663904461 Price $35.00 Grade 8 ISBN - 9781663904478 Price $35.00 SOCIAL STUDIESSCIENCEFICTIONSOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING SOCIAL STUDIESSCIENCEFICTIONSOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING SOCIAL STUDIESSCIENCEFICTIONSOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNINGCURRICULUM-TO-GO Learning Packs Overview | capstoneclassroom.com Student Books Kindergarten ISBN - 9781663904485 Price $28.00 Grade 1 ISBN - 9781663904492 Price $28.00 Grade 2 ISBN - 9781663904508 Price $28.00 SOCIAL STUDIESSCIENCEFICTIONSOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING SOCIAL STUDIESSCIENCEFICTIONSOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING SOCIAL STUDIESSCIENCEFICTIONSOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING SPANISHNext >
